Is a type of safety glass that holds together when impacted. In the event of breaking, it is held in place by a vinyl interlayer. The interlayer keeps the layers of glass bonded even when broken, and its high strength prevents the glass from breaking up into large sharp pieces. This produces a characteristic "spider web" cracking pattern when the impact is not enough to completely pierce the glass.
An extensive range of size and thickness are available, however the most regularly used products are 5.38mm, 6.38mm, 8.38mm, 10.38mm or 12.38mm laminated, in either clear, grey or bronze annealed laminated. Please note: 5.38mm is only available in clear.
Toughened Glass is the strongest glass there is - It is typically used for Glass with cut outs/holes in it, Windows & Doors, Splashbacks & Tabletops.
When it does break though, it shatters into very small pieces that minimises harm.
